Q: How much does Azure SmartCost cost?
A: Free to deploy. You only pay for Azure infrastructure costs (estimated $20-50/month).
Q: What data does SmartCost access?
A: Only cost data from Azure Cost Management API (read-only). No resource data, VM contents, or sensitive information.
Q: Why is the dashboard not showing costs?
A: Ensure "Cost Management Reader" role is assigned. Wait 5-10 minutes after deployment for initial sync.

1. Information We Collect
- Azure Subscription ID: Used to fetch cost data from Azure Cost Management API
- Email Address: Optional, used only for budget alert notifications
- Budget Configurations: Alert thresholds and preferences
2. Information We Do NOT Collect

- ❌ Personal data from your Azure resources
- ❌ Credentials or secrets
- ❌ Payment information
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information solely to:
- Display cost analytics and trends
- Send budget alert notifications (if configured)
- Improve Service performance
- Troubleshoot technical issues

- ✅ Encryption in Transit: HTTPS/TLS 1.2+ only
